THE PACK

TRECE (13) is a project of collective edition of 13 contemporary photobooks. It is a creative process based on a collaborative learning and the quest of a personal view of each author.

TRECE is the final result of a joint process developed by students of Advanced Course of Contemporary Photography in the LENS School of Visual Arts (Madrid, Spain). Two main commitments marked this process: respect the personal look of each author and integrate it into the shared edition project.

Each book contains one photography project that was generated and developed during the course, with support and collaboration of all participants. Interchange of materials, processes and contemporary dynamics were main keys to enrich and enhance project of every author.

The option of crowdfunding through a platform such Verkami is, is not a coincidence: it is a bet on shared project but not only among authors. It is the next stage, it is an opening of the project to all those interested in contemporary photography. This way cooperation and spirit of teamwork can reach its final target, what is books printing and distribution.

The conclusion of this process is a pack of 13 photography books. The coordination of Carlos Albalá and help of Ignasi López (both members of independent editorial Bside Books), were main support and constant encouragement of an idea and project process that was printed in The Privat Space (Barcelona).
